STORY

Denmark’s Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Rasmus Prehn opened a 500 sqm pavilion ever in China at CIIE – 4th China International Import Expo.

“For many years, we have experienced a great match between the Chinese customer demands and the Danish high quality food products”, said the Danish Minister as part of the “LIVE” participation at the pavilion from DI Danish Industries headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Three major and long time partners with China also participated.

“We are proud to be the leading Danish butter cookie producer in China” says Kelsen Butter Cookies Group CFO Mads Waage Petersen: “We have been doing business in China for many years, but we see the exhibition as an opportunity to build even stronger relations with our partners in China”.

Danish Crown delivers around 25% of all pigs sold in China. Jais Valeur, Group CEO of Danish Crown says: “For us, the key focus in China is, of course, to serve Chinese consumers with the products that they prefer. We can see a new trend now lately with sustainability coming up on the agenda. The pork produced in Denmark is probably one of the most sustainably produced meat products in the world, today. So, this is something new we are bringing into this year’s exhibition.”

FOSS provides analytics that add value to quality and optimize production.

Kim Vejlby Hansen. CEO, FOSS:

“FOSS participates in CIIE and wants from the outcome to see or get a better understanding of, what is the future need for our customers, where is the industry moving in from a general perspective and what can FOSS´s role and participation be for the future”.

Confederation of Danish Industries, The Danish General Consulate in Shanghai and Food Nation have organised the 500 sqm Danish pavilion for more than 30 Danish food, beverage, food industry equipment, nutrients and agriculture companies.
