CHINA: BIG IMPORT EXPO SUCCESS FOR DENMARK

The China International Import Expo is a big succes for Denmark.
CIIE has been supported bigger than ever before by Danish government and leading food producers.
Ambassador to China H.E. Thomas Østrup Møller and The Consulate General of Denmark in Shanghai signed an MOU with Pinduoduo.
The signing was witnessed online by Denmark’s Minister for Food & Fisheries Mr. Mogens Jensen, that said “I’m very happy to participate at the opening of the Danish pavilion in the international import expo in Shanghai. The China international Import Expo is one of the most important for Danish companies exporting to China.”

As a result of CIIE will forinstance Pinduoduo set up a Danish online Pavillion with quality Danish food brands like Danish Crown, Danisa and Arla Foods, that already delivers millions of pigs, buttercookies and milkpowder to all of China.

EXPANSION OF CHINA-DENMARK TRADE

China’s growing middle-class facilitates expansion of China-Denmark trade.
The growth of China’s economy is important for Danish companies, said Allan Sørensen, chief economist at the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI).
“The Chinese market is growing faster than our traditional export markets in Europe and the United States and takes a larger share of Danish total exports today than it did 10 or 20 years ago,” said Sorensen in an interview with Xinhua, on the eve of the upcoming third China International Import Expo (CIIE).
