THE LEGO® MOVIE™ World opens in LEGOLAND AS 5D Flying Theater

It has been a long time waiting for this year’s big news in LEGOLAND. THE LEGO® MOVIE™ World should have seen daylight already in 2020, but the waiting period is now over.

LEGOLAND opens the gates to a brand-new park. THE LEGO® MOVIE™World, which originally was set to launch last year.

– It is a thoroughly themed experience, and our guests will no doubt feel that they are entering the fan-favourite universe they know from THE LEGO MOVIES, says Christian Woller, director of LEGOLAND.

The biggest 5D Flying Theater

You will not just sit quietly in front of the giant screen. Guests will board Emmet’s double decker couch and experience a captivating movie on a giant 180-degree screen where you will move in tandem to what is on the screen and feel wind in your hair, see fog around you and smell fragrances’s in the air.

While flying, the guests may look forward to a trip into space, fly past pirates and experience some of the well-known areas of THE LEGO MOVIES.

Denmark’s amusement parks can finally re-open in full after corona.

The world’s biggest Legoland situated in Billund, which is the hometown of Lego, opens presenting Lego Movie in a new 5D flying variation, that soon will appear in the other Legoland all over the world. 

However the biggest is in Denmark.

Managing director Christian Woller is pleased to finally open: “It is a fantastic joy to finally open after 13-15 months”.

Story

The biggest ever investment in the hometown of Legoland in Billund, Denmark could finally open after Denmark tries to re-open after corona.

The successful Hollywood Lego Movies is now presented in a 5D flying theatre version, including moving seats, smells and wind.
Billund, Denmark is  where the Lego brick was invented in 1954 and Legoland in Denmark is also the largest in the world.

Managing director of Legoland Christian Woller is pleased to finally open after corona: “It is a fantastic joy to finally open after 13-15 months”.

The 5D flying theatre was tested by the family Dalsen and it seems to work, when you fall down the rainbow and fly through the worlds of the LEGO Movie.

Also a the worlds biggest village inspired by the Lego Movies has now opened in the hometown of Lego.

The Lego Movie’s producer  Matthew James Ashton that was behind the actual LEGO Movie 1 and 2 tried the new 5D experience with the designer of Legoland Tom Christiansen.
Matthew James Ashton was thrilled and said “he experience brought back so many memories”.
Matthew James Ashton worked with the Lego movies for 8 years and is now a judge in Lego Masters in the UK and Vice-President of Lego design. 

​The LEGO Movie was sold for more than $468.1 million worldwide against its $60-65 million budget.
The Lego movies are about the Emmet and other LEGO figures, that plays a resistance movement against a tyrannical businessman, that is glueing everything in the Lego world into his vision of perfection.

The​ ​LEGOLAND Billund Resort opened in Billund, Denmark in 1968 and is one of the most visited attractions in Denmark.
The Legoland 5F flying theatre will open in other Legolands around the world.
